Following the blazes at Ocala National Forest
Today we drove to Ocala National Forest to hike some of the Florida National Scenic Trail.
The first and best handled section was in this forest. The 1,300 mile trail goes from the Everglades to the Panhandle. Granted it is not as popular and maintained as the AT, but give it some time and it will flourish.
After that, we wanted to see if we could find Silver Springs. We had no map/directions so we kinda failed BUT we found a great BBQ place for lunch "Bubbaque".
After a delicious lunch we set back to civilization and found ourselves back in familiar territory just west of Ormond Beach.
